Salubri
You were granted a second chance and a third eye. Make good use of them.
What Are You?¶
You were Embraced because another Salubri decided you deserved another shot at something. Maybe you were dying. Maybe you'd suffered a loss so terrible it hollowed you out. Maybe you had an unshakable drive to fix something broken in the world and just needed the tools to do it. Salubri sires are agonizingly selective; the Clan is tiny, possibly the smallest of all the bloodlines, and every Embrace is a deeply personal decision. There is no chance you were chosen on a whim. You were selected because your sire truly believed the curse would mean something in your hands.
The Salubri occupy a strange and precarious position among the Kindred. Centuries ago, the Tremere destroyed your Clan's founder and built their own legacy on the stolen blood, then spread rumors that Salubri are soul-thieves to justify it. The stigma stuck. Most Princes don't want you in their domain, most Kindred are suspicious of you, and the ones who know what your blood tastes like may already be behind you right now. Despite all of this, the Salubri persist; some as healers, easing the suffering of mortals and Kindred alike, others as hunters who stalk vampires who've surrendered to the Beast. All of them are trying, in their own way, to solve the problem of being a vampire rather than just enduring it.
The cost is impossible to hide. Every Salubri manifests a literal third eye in the center of their forehead. It opens when you use your Disciplines, and when it does, it weeps blood. Scarves, hats, and prosthetics can cover it physically, but no supernatural power can conceal it short of hiding your entire body. Oh, and your blood is a problem all on its own — other vampires who taste it find it almost impossible to stop drinking. You are rare, hunted, and lip-smackingly delicious. Good luck.

Bane: Hunted Blood¶
A third eye sits in the center of your forehead. No supernatural power can conceal it short of hiding your entire body; physical coverings (hats, scarves, bandages, masks, long bangs) work most of the time. When you use an Active Discipline Power, the eye opens and weeps blood. Nearby Kindred at Hunger 4+ who witness this must Stay Chill or feel drawn to Feed from you.
Your Vitae is intoxicating to other Kindred. When a non-Salubri tastes your blood, they must Stay Chill with a penalty equal to your Blood Potency (minimum 1) or continue feeding until physically stopped. Kindred of the Blood Leech Predator Type have Disadvantage on this roll.
Compulsion: Affective Empathy¶
When you perceive genuine suffering in someone nearby, you feel overwhelmed by the need to ease their burden, regardless of timing, priorities, or personal cost.
Until you meaningfully alleviate the sufferer's pain, a more immediate crisis supersedes the urge, or the scene ends, take an Ongoing penalty equal to your Blood Potency (minimum 1) to all rolls not dedicated to helping them.
Clan Perks¶
You get 2 unique abilities:
Soul Sight: Your third eye perceives what others cannot. When you Discern Vibes on an entity, you may ask "What is their current Humanity?", "Do they intend to harm me?", or "Are they concealing their true nature?" without spending Hold. These answers come through the third eye, not normal observation.
Mending Touch: Once per scene, you can heal 2 Superficial Harm (or 1 Aggravated Harm) on a willing creature through sustained physical contact. Healing Superficial Harm costs you +1 Hunger, and healing Aggravated Harm costs +2 Hunger. No roll required.

- Choose restraint over violence when violence would have been the easier path
- Survive an encounter where being Salubri put you in direct danger
